Eredivisie - Dutch League offers a helping hand
Updated: Sep 12, 2019
The top 3 teams have all had a helping hand from the Dutch League by cancelling fixtures to help their performances in Europe. So 12 teams have played 5 games – and 6 teams have played only 4. Smart move? Or bending the rules?
Nonetheless – Ajax and PSV sit 2nd and 3rd behind a cracking start to the season from Vitesse. But Vitesse have to travel to PSV this weekend. Whilst Ajax entertain mid-table Heerenveen. So expect normal service to be resumed pretty soon.
Feyenoord look a little embarrassed sitting in 10th place – scoring only 5 goals and conceding 4. Another roller-coaster season from Feyenoord ?
Twente and Rotterdam are proving they can hold their own sitting 4th and 6th respectively. And importantly, Twente have scored 10 – conceding just 6. Rotterdam have scored 11 but conceded 10. Guess what Rotterdam are doing in training? Keep it up lads 😃
Meanwhile, the team promoted from the play-offs are struggling. Waalwijk sit bottom of the table with just 1 point. Worryingly they’ve conceded 14 goals.
