  • Difficult pre-season for Liverpool - key players only just returned from holidays

  • Norwich will enjoy running out at Anfield - undefeated home fortress for Liverpool last season

  • Klopp will want to hit the ground running - expect 10 men behind the ball from Norwich

  • Home win @ 1.18 and over 1.5 goals @ 1.16

West Ham vs Man City

  • First trophy for Man City last weekend - only just on penalties - but that'll do

  • Good pre-season for City - already performing - will look for a fast start

  • West Ham ended last season with a 4 game unbeaten run - they need a good start

  • Man Cit will look to make a statement - go over 1.15 goals @1.16

B'mouth vs Sheff Utd

  • Bournemouth conceded the 3rd most goals last season – only Fulham and Huddersfield conceded more

  • But Bournemouth finished 6th for goals scored last season – defensive focus for Mr Howe

  • Sheffield Utd conceded the fewest goals in the Championship last season

  • But this is a different level for the Blades – go over 1.5 goals @ 1.25

Spurs vs Aston Villa

  • Villa were the 3rd highest goal scorers in last years’ Championship – and big pre-season spenders

  • Spurs will want to improve their home form over last season – 5 losses simply not good enough

  • Villa finished 7th for away form last season – not their strong point

  • Spurs should have the quality – but go over 1.5 goals @ 1.22

PSG vs Nimes

Match commentary

  • PSG were undefeated at home last season – conceding only 10 goals – they’ll want to maintain that record

  • Nimes finished 12th for away form – losing 10 games on the road

  • Will Neymar play ?  How will PSG line-up?

  • PSG need to make a statement to the home crowd – Home win @ 1.11 and over 1.5 goals @ 1.11

  • 1st games produced a solid draw @ Feyenoord for Rotterdam – great home win for Venlo

  • Rotterdam were promoted with the best home record – Venlo 12th last season for away form

  • Very average away performance for PSV at Twente last weekend – had to come from behind for the draw

  • Awful start for Den Haag – conceding 4 Utrecht goals

  • PSV need to get into gear in front of the home crowd
